May Peace Prevail
Peace poles are symbolic monuments dedicated to promoting peace and unity around the world, a mission that aligns with the values of the Maui Rotary Club. Typically standing as wooden or stone posts, they are inscribed with the message 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' in multiple languages. Originating in Japan in the 1950s, peace poles have spread globally, representing a call for harmony and a reminder of our shared responsibility to foster peace in communities and across nations—principles that resonate with the Rotary means business ethos. Often found in public spaces, gardens, and places of worship, these poles serve as beacons of hope and goodwill, embodying the Rotary ideal of service above self.
E-Cycle Fundraiser
The Satellite Rotary Club of Kihei-Wailea is offering to pick up your monitors/TVs, computers, laptops and printers and take them to e-cycle for a donation of $20 per item. These funds will help our club to continue to do community service projects.

I'm a somewhat recent arrival to Maui from Canada, making the move to full-time resident in October of 2023. I grew up in the frozen prairie city of Winnipeg and spent 20 years in Vancouver before coming to Maui. In my mainland life, I worked as a live television sports producer, primarily on NHL hockey broadcasts (Canadian!), but I also

In my mainland life, I worked as a live television sports producer, primarily on NHL hockey broadcasts (Canadian!), but I also covered many Olympic Games, MLS and FIFA soccer, and various other sports. Since moving to Maui, I've been transitioning to a career in real estate. I joined the Maui Rotary Club shortly after arriving, drawn by the social and professional networking opportunities that Rotary means business, as well as the chance to serve the Maui community. I live in Paia on the island's north shore, embracing the spirit of service above self.

Dr. Justin Feinstein is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who is trailblazing a new path forward for the treatment of anxiety and PTSD. He has over 75 peer-reviewed publications in some of the world's top scientific journals, and his research has been featured in popular press outlets like the New York Times, NPR, TIME magazine, and CBS Nation
Dr. Justin Feinstein is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who is trailblazing a new path forward for the treatment of anxiety and PTSD. He has over 75 peer-reviewed publications in some of the world's top scientific journals, and his research has been featured in popular press outlets like the New York Times, NPR, TIME magazine, and CBS National News. His current work focuses on studying the intimate connection between the visceral body and the brain (i.e., interoception), and developing new technologies to bring this connection to the forefront of awareness. This research has laid the foundation for novel therapies that can naturally alleviate stress and anxiety without the use of drugs, including Floatation-REST (Reduced Environmental Stimulation Therapy) and the modulation of carbon dioxide (CO2) as a form of interoceptive exposure therapy. In 2021, Dr. Feinstein established the Float Research Collective on the island of Maui, a nonprofit organization that plays a pivotal role in establishing Floatation-REST as an accepted medical treatment. The Maui Rotary Club has also recognized the importance of this work, embodying the Rotary means business ethos by supporting community health initiatives and emphasizing service above self.
